2024 Charity Golf Wrap Up
We were blessed to host our Second-Annual FTB Charity Golf Classic on April 29, 2024 at Tampa Palms, and praise God, it was a huge success! Across the board, we saw so many faithful supporters come out, from our golfers and volunteers to our sponsors, returning impact partners, and some amazing new ones as well.
We had 25 foursomes, that’s 100 golfers, participate in a full day of events. From early registration, to the golf, to great food and fellowship on the course, to the awards and raffle giveaways after, everyone had a great time in support of our mission in Tampa Bay. Thank you golfers. We hope you will come back next year.
We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of our sponsors who made this day possible. From our tournament sponsor, Dallas 1, to all of our major sponsors, our drink sponsor, prize sponsor, and sign sponsors, we are so grateful.
We also had some new sponsors out on the course.
Thank you to Idlewild Baptist for bringing an awesome coffee cart. Thank you to Uncle John’s Pride, Glory Days, and Texas Roadhouse for providing some great fare on the course.
We had a great SUV weekend rental giveaway sponsored by Crown Automotive.
Finally, we raised some extra funds through the involvement of Charity Golf International. They sent professional long-driver, Rob Tiettmeyer, who hit some incredible drives for our golfers.
Thank you all for your involvement in making this Second-Annual tournament a winner for kids and local schools, and for the churches we connect them to!
Thank you cheerleaders! Thank you all for coming. And, thank you to Principal Sarah Garcia from Shaw Elementary, who made the opportunity possible for these wonderful kids to come out and welcome our golfers.
Thank you, Dr. Cici Russ and the Avid program at Giunta Middle School! We were so encouraged to see you serving with us for a second straight year, connecting and growing your networking skills. Keep it up!
We also want to send a big thank you out to all of our amazing volunteers, from our tournament committee, to the day-of-event volunteers who helped set up and run a great event. Thank you also to the great staff of Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. We are already looking forward to next year’s third-annual event. Stay tuned for the date.
Special thanks to Lisa Wilson, who did an amazing job designing our new prayer cards that we shared with of our golfers at the tournament. This was a simple and meaningful way to communicate real needs and a short testimony of how FTB has been a blessing. We know that with more prayer, we can make a deeper connection in the schools. Thank you for joining with us!
In all, we had a fantastic day, where golfers, and corporate partners and schools, and churches, and volunteers all came together to advance our mission for Christ in Tampa Bay. Thank you again to all. We are already looking forward to a great event next year in April, 2025. Stay tuned.
